My goal is saving enough money to go to Kentucky to see my Grandpa. The reason why I chose this goal is because I miss my Grandpa and I have only seen him four times in my life. I would like to get to know him more. The steps in achieving my goal were buliding a nice smooth box out of clay. Also, making the design of the Kentucky map and the name of Kenucky. Making the edges nice and smooth and no holes or rough edges. I hope to reach this goal next year in the summer if possible. The reason I chose to create this bank is because I would like to save money to go to see my grandpa. If I save my money up in a bank it is much easier to for me. I am saving my money mostly for gas and souveniours. I will put my bank in my closet on the shelf. The reason why is because it won’t fall or break or I will not lose it. Also, my closet shelve has a lot more room and space just for the bank to go on. My challenges were trying to figure out if I wanted to make a wood box or clay box. The problem I ran into with making the clay box was that the clay wouldn’t stay together. I had to keep scratching and slipping it with clay. Also, I had to smooth it out on the sides so it wasn’t rough. Also the counters needed to be smoothed out so they had even sides. I really didn’t know what colors to glaze it but I decided to glaze it blue, pink, and white color’ because it was the colors of a sweetshirt that my grandpa sent me in the mail for my bithday and it was my favorite. But overall I think my Kentucky Savings bank turned out well.
